Honey Bees!

I am currently working on a science unit for Honey Bees. Included in the unit will be comprehension passages and activities, anatomy, bee keeper history, current issues (Colony Collapse Disease), math-geometry in nature (hexagon), and writing activities. It's geared towards 3rd-5th grades with leveled texts, but I could easily put together a K-2nd unit as well. I hope to have it finished and posted to TpT by next week.

Oh, and it will also include cool pieces like posters, book marks, and art activities!

Feedback needed!

Soooooo, I'm looking for a few good ideas :). Because I am growing my business, I'm in need of some original, creative, or any combination of ideas for items needed for teacher resources. The sky is the limit! Think outside the box! As a little incentive, if I create you idea, you get a copy emailed (or mailed on a disk if the file is too big) for half of what I will charge on TpT :). You won't be able to give feedback on the TpT site without purchasing the item, so I would need a good reference and a link to the item on your social media of choice. Easy peasy lemon squeezey!

Nature literacy unit

Little late updating here, but I posted my next literacy unit on the TpT website. It contains group and individual literacy activities and games, writing and handwriting activities, word sorts and matching games, color and black-line books, and grammar activities.

I'm also working on some explicit vocabulary lessons. My first is almost finished and goes with a fun book called "Clara Caterpillar" by Pamela Duncan Edwards. It will also have some writing activities and games to help children connect with and retain use of the words.

I made my first sale on the Teachers pay Teachers website this week!! I also had my first review for the freebie I have there as well. This sweet teacher gave me 4 out of 4 stars :).

My plan is to upload another freebie (hopefully today). I'm also working on my next commissioned reading unit and plan to have it uploaded by Friday morning at the latest!

On a sad note, my oldest daughter left her phone on the bus yesterday...please join me in praying that the person who took it does the right thing and turns it in!
